- This bird is very cautious and careful. At the same time, it is brave and strong. Even when wounded, the goose continues to fend off attacks from the aggressor, striking with its wings, often causing serious injuries even to large animals like dogs.
- This species flies relatively low, except during seasonal migrations. During long flights, geese can soar to considerable heights.
- Wild geese raised by a domesticated female still retain their instincts, and with the onset of autumn, they migrate south. After wintering, they often return to the home of the person who domesticated them.
